Exemplar Health Care is pleased to announce Kingfisher View, a new specialist nursing care home in Castleford, set to open in April 2019.
The home will provide specialist care for those who live with mental health conditions, and will provide up to eight residents with an apartment style living.
The purpose built service will be made up of three two bedroom apartments and two one bedroom apartments as well as shared communal spaces and gardens.
Exemplar is also delighted to introduce Kingfisher View’s new home manager, Mark Rice-Thomson. Mark brings a wealth of complex nursing and care experience to Exemplar and has worked in the sector for nine years.
A qualified nurse and experienced home manager, Mark has worked at homes across several leading healthcare groups. Adding to his experience, Mark is also a senior Army Reserve Nursing Officer and saw active service in Afghanistan.
Specialising in care in mental health, learning disability and complex nursing, Mark is a perfect fit for the new home and will now work with Exemplar to further develop the home before its opening, recruit new care and clinical team members and help with the admission process.
Mark Rice-Thomson, Home Manager at Kingfisher View, said: “I am delighted to take the role of home manager at Kingfisher View. As a new home it is a fantastic opportunity to get involved right from the beginning and I am now working with the customer engagement, recruitment and operations teams to create the perfect home from home environment for our residents.
“I am excited to be part of such a forward-thinking organisation like Exemplar Health Care and I am looking forward to opening the home to residents next April.”
Residents will also have access to an internal courtyard garden, an ideal space for socialising, parties and events.
Kingfisher View is now open for referrals and enquiries. To discuss referrals or to find out more about the home contact Customer Engagement Manager, Kelly Hodgson on 07377 875 448 or firstname.lastname@example.org
