Exemplar’s newest home Lakeview opened its doors last month, and we can now share exclusive video footage of both the home and its surroundings as well as some fantastic shots from the home’s opening event.
Lakeview, in Leigh, is a purpose built nurse-led care home for 30 people and provides care and support to individuals who live with complex dementia, mental ill-health, brain injuries, Huntington’s disease and other neuro-disabilities.
The launch event saw Exemplar colleagues, local stakeholders and residents from one of our other North West homes, Kavanagh Place, enjoy the day and the ribbon cutting ceremony led by the Mayor of Wigan, Councillor Sue Greensmith.
The videos, taken by a drone camera, give you a unique birds eye view of Lakeview and its surroundings, including the view of the lake the bedrooms look over. The videos also give an insight into the home’s bedrooms, lounge and dining areas and the community hub.
Lakeview’s community hub, a large open space with the use of a functional kitchen, will welcome local charities and organisations from the Leigh area to use the space free of charge and is a perfect area for hosting meetings and training days.
On the opening of the home, Jo Roughley, Home Manager for Lakeview, said: “I’m thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the launch of Lakeview and am looking forward to working with our brilliant team, our residents and the community to make every day better for everybody.”
