Quarryfields fire safety film

Residents at Quarryfields were presented with a £500 cheque for producing a short animated film about the importance of fire safety.

They held a viewing to celebrate the hard work that the residents put into the movie. Family, staff and everyone who was involved in the production of the film came to the screening and stayed for afternoon tea.

After they had finished watching the film, the residents were presented with a copy of the DVD for the home.

Quarryfields joined forces with Breaking Beats a company in Doncaster, which supports people with learning disabilities to learn how to create animated films. The project was funded by South Yorkshire Fire Service.

Occupational Therapist Tracy Smith at Quarrysfields said: ”
It was a chance for all involved to get together and celebrate the achievements made, from the service users who were involved.”
