The Great British Care Awards!

This Friday 14 of our care staff will be attending the Great British Care Awards.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout England that celebrate excellence in the care sector.

These awards pay tribute to those people who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

There are twenty-one awards categories available for nomination, which represent all areas of the social care sector, whether it be older people or specialist services, residential or home care. From frontline staff such as care workers and care home managers to people who have made an impact in other ways such as training.

The awards have received support from across the social care sector, including the Department of Health; the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS); United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA), Care England; the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE); the National Skills Academy and Skills for Care.

Communications Director Tracy Clarkson nominated all the staff who had received a nomination in the Exemplar Making a Difference Awards. She said: “It’s great that so many of our staff have been shortlisted. The organiser’s had over 2000 entries so to be one of the six in each category to be shortlisted means our staff are already winners!  The very best of luck to all involved and I look forward to announcing overall winners soon.  Good luck everyone! ”
