Otterburn’s breakfast club

Residents in Exemplar homes are able to join many clubs and groups which help them to socialize and make friends in their community.

In their newsletter they wrote : “Otterburn have been hosting a fortnightly breakfast and social morning to give our residents chance to not only sample the delicious offerings of the kitchen but to give chance for service users across all 3 of the units, chance to meet up and socialize, over sausage and egg there’s no better way!”

The group meets every other Thursday and the kitchen staff surprise them with a variety of breakfast items from cooked breakfasts to bagels.

On the alternate Thursday, we offer residents the opportunity to come out with activities staff to a local pub which offers a buffet breakfast service.

Groups like Otterburn’s breakfast morning are important to the residents in our care as they help them to make friends and have a sense of community. Look out for more blog posts about the clubs and groups that are available throughout our homes.
