Staff and Service Users from The Lodge (Swallownest) have recently taken part in a sponsored walk in order to raise awareness for Autism. Emma Walker, activities co-ordinator said; “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their support for Autism Awareness. We had a fantastic day taking part in a sponsored walk around Rother Valley. We had some volunteers that did a brilliant job getting sponsors. They were Natasha Sudworth who raised £90.70 who is the daughter of Joanne Atkin; support worker and Mae-Rose Bradbury who raised £38.20 she is the great granddaughter of Jacqui Hunter; Team Leader.
I have to say everyone, staff and service users looked fabulous in their fancy dress costumes. Some of the services users also got sponsor money, as well as getting donations on the day. We raised an amazing £352.40”.
Well done and congratulations to everybody involved in the sponsored walk!
