Video: Lakeview launch their newly decorated community hub

Lakeview, our specialist care home in Leigh in Wigan, held a special afternoon tea party to launch their newly decorated community hub.

Residents, families, and health care professionals attended the afternoon where they got to enjoy a beautifully put together buffet, entertainment from a live singer and take in the new improvements made to the hub.

Providing specialist care for some of the community’s most vulnerable people, Lakeview specialises in caring for people living with neuro-disabilities, brain injury and stroke, spinal injuries, mental health conditions and dementia.

Led by Regional Director of Operations, Carla Middleton, Lakeview’s care team and nurses are dedicated to providing high-quality care for their service users and are committed to delivering completely person-centred support with tailored care packages to suit individual needs.

The multi-functional space, which also includes a fully accessible kitchen, is designed for residents to enjoy, take part in activities in and use as a space for time with their families. The hub is also available for the local community to use for meetings and functions.

Sylvia who lives at Lakeview, said: “Lakeview is a really lovely home and the new hub looks amazing. I feel really looked after here by the team.

“I like to knit and go out to the shops and I get to do those things and much more.”
