Video: Eastlands, Pathways and Meadowcroft mark 10 years of care milestone

Exemplar Health Care’s Sutton-in-Ashfield specialist care homes Eastlands, Pathways, and Meadowcroft have celebrated 10-years of making a difference with a special anniversary celebration for residents, the care teams and family members to enjoy.
Our Sutton-in-Ashfield homes opened their doors to residents in 2009 and provide specialist nursing care for adults living with very complex needs.
Guests from all three homes enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment, refreshments – including an Exemplar Health Care themed cake – and celebrated Exemplar Health Care colleagues who have worked for the company for five or ten years.
Adding to the celebrations, Exemplar Health Care’s Clinical Director Helen Baxendale was on hand to present long service awards to colleagues and Eastlands’ first home manager in 2009, Melanie Phillips, who is now the company’s Head of Health and Safety, also attended and helped congratulate the homes.
A tree was planted and a 10-year commemorative plaque was unveiled in the homes’ communal garden to mark the achievement.
Lisa Thomas, Change Director at Exemplar Health Care, attended the afternoon and said: “It is an honour to be a part of the celebration of such an impressive milestone.
“What strikes me about the three homes, is the commitment from the colleague teams and the emphasis on providing quality care for our residents.
“It is lovely to celebrate with colleagues, residents and family members – and what has been lovely for me to see – is the real family feeling amongst the three homes.
“I would like to congratulate Eastlands, Meadowcroft, and Pathways on the past 10 years and wish everyone all the best for the future!”
Mother of one of Eastlands’ residents, said: “I can’t thank Eastlands enough. When my daughter moved here just before Christmas, the team really made her feel at home straight away. Eastlands really is a home-from-home for us, and we can’t thank everyone enough for their dedication.”
