We’re delighted that Sharon Burton has joined Exemplar as the Commissioning Home Director of our Copperfields care home for adults with complex needs in Leeds.

Sharon’s experience is extensive. She’s worked across a range of roles within the care sector - from Consultant Nurse to Director of Governance - developing her expertise at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability, BMI Healthcare and BUPA.

With previous roles in nursing management, healthcare governance and business, Sharon is committed to delivering Exemplar’s high quality, person-centred care.

Sharon said: “I’m delighted to be joining Exemplar on this exciting new home development in Leeds and I can’t wait to show the Leeds community what we’ve been working hard to achieve over the last year.

“Delivering high quality, person-centred care requires a combination of clear communication, compassion and enthusiasm and ensuring the wellbeing of all our residents and colleagues is central to my work, so I’m thrilled to be part of an organisation with the same ethos.

“I’m incredibly proud to be part of the exciting new team and can’t wait to support residents from across West Yorkshire and beyond.”

Copperfields opens to service users late September. The home will provide specialist nursing care for 30 adults with complex needs including people living with complex dementia and long-term mental health conditions.

Copperfields is our second Leeds home, alongside Ravensdale in Whinmoor which has been operating in the city for a decade.
