Kingfisher View

Due to open for residents in April 2019, Exemplar Health Care’s newest specialist care home in Castleford is now 19 weeks into the build process.

Opening to 12 residents, Kingfisher View sits on Wheldon Lane in Castleford and is opposite our existing homes, Fairburn Mews and Fairburn Vale. The home will provide specialist nursing care for people who live with very complex needs and will specialise in providing in care for people with mental health conditions.

The home’s internal partition walls are now being put in place and internal door casings are being added. Mechanical and electrical work is now also starting, which will give the building lighting and power.

Ahead of Kingfisher View’s opening, regional commissioners are invited to an exclusive preview event at the home on Thursday 7 February. The event will give attendees a first look of the facilities, the grounds and understanding of the area.

As the works will be drawing to completion, the preview event is a perfect way for professionals to visit the service, meet the management and learn more about Kingfisher View and Exemplar Health Care.

During the build up to opening of Exemplar Health Care’s newest service, Head of Service Development Andrew Frankel-Caine hosted a clinical leadership learning CPD educational seminar in Wakefield which saw regional health care professionals attend.
