Celebrating the Olympics at Exemplar Health Care
6 August 2021

Our community-based homes provide person-centred care and rehabilitation that focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible.
With the Olympics well underway in Tokyo, our residents have been getting into the spirit by decorating our homes and taking part in organised activities.
To celebrate the opening of the Olympics 2021, Kavanagh Place in Liverpool engaged with residents to create some special treats and get involved with some Olympic based activities.
One of our residents decided to do 20 minutes on the exercise bike after watching a morning of the Olympics, Cliff was then awarded with a gold medal for determination and effort.
At Greenside Court in Rotherham, staff and residents have also been cheering on Team GB with their decorations throughout their home.
We put meaningful engagement and activity at the centre of daily life in our homes and everyone should have the opportunity to engage in activities that have a purpose and are meaningful to them. This can help to sustain both physical and mental health – including overcoming loneliness, improving wellbeing and boosting self-esteem.
A place to call home
Our homes provide a welcoming and supportive environment where people can feel at home, continue to do the things that they enjoy, and remain closer to their loved ones.
We support people on their journey from being in hospital or living in a secure setting to community-based living, as well as offering longer term support for people living with degenerative or life-limiting illnesses.
