Hourly Rate: £18.64 per hour + £1,500 welcome bonus

About the Home

Kavanagh Place complex needs care home specialises in supporting adults living with complex mental health needs, complex dementia and physical disabilities. The home's Abbey Unit is exclusively for people who identify as male. Our Nurse-led team has the skills and expertise to support people with complex needs including prolonged disorders of consciousness and behaviours of concern, and those who require tracheostomies, ventilators and PEG feeding tubes. We support people on their rehabilitation journey from hospital or living in a secure setting to community-based living. We also provide long term support for people living with degenerative or life-limiting illnesses. 

Kavanagh Place has a reputation for providing high quality care for individuals living with varying complex health needs. A welcoming, modern and person-centred home, Kavanagh Place aims to make every day better for its service users. The home has 40 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across four units. The home has communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub and a large accessible garden. What do we ask of you?

  • You will be a registered nurse (RNLD/ RMN/ RGN) and will have a valid NMC pin.
  • You will provide warmth, enthusiasm and compassion when providing care to our service users.
  • You will always strive to provide great quality holistic care, making every day better than the last; promoting our core values: maintaining independence and dignity to our service users.
  • You will be a team player, demonstrating outstanding communication skills and will be able to demonstrate effective team work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • You’ll be up to date with current evidence based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC Standards and Regulations and will work using your initiative making effective decisions to improve care quality.
