Our approach to nursing focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible, which means that you’ll be delivering truly person-centred and holistic care in a community-based home.

You’ll work in a close team and build good working relationships with the people you support – so you’ll be able to see the difference you make each and every day.

About Greenside Court:

Greenside Court is a 20 bedded home which provides care for young adults with complex physical needs including tracheostomy and ventilator care, Huntington’s disease, and neurological disorders.

Our Nurse to Health Care Assistant (HCA) ratio is one of the best in the UK, with Greenside Court’s average ratio being 4 HCAs to every Nurse.

Recent feedback from relatives included comments such as "highly satisfied with everything at the home, everyone is very friendly" and "the staff are very caring and always make me feel welcome and comfortable".

A Greenside Court Service User's Story

When David moved to Greenside Court, he was on a PEG feed, was unable to stand and he spent a lot of time sleeping in bed. We’ve supported David’s rehabilitation, and over time, his health and wellbeing has improved.

One of David’s main goals was to eat a normal diet independently. Since moving to the home, David has had his PEG feed removed and eats a normal diet with minimal assistance.

Our Therapy Team has worked with David to increase his leg strength and muscle tone through an individualised exercise programme. David can now stand on the Sarah Steady for more than ten minutes, freely without the need to hold on to retain his balance.

When David moved to Greenside Court, his field of vision was restricted and he was unable to focus on most things. Our Life Skills Team has worked with David and he’s now able to focus more with guidance and concentration, and remembers the lyrics to songs.

We’re proud of the progress that David has made, and set new goals on a regular basis to continue to support his rehabilitation.
