HR Advisor - Employee Relations

Position:  Employee Relations Advisor

Contract type: Full Time Permanent
Rate: Up to £28,000 per annum plus £3,000 car allowance

We are a rapidly expanding healthcare company with our support services based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Our mission at Exemplar Healthcare is to make every day better for the people who live and work in our homes. Our community-based homes and OneCare services provide person-centred care and rehabilitation that focuses on maximizing independence, building everyday living skills and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible. We currently have 38 Care Homes and have an exciting growth plan over the next 5 years. 

You will work closely with the Operational Teams and Managers, using coaching and influencing skills helps to ensure a fair and consistent approach to an organisations policies and procedures, thus promoting a positive ER culture within the business, whilst minimising risks.

About you:
You will have proven experience as a strong Employee relations advisor in the following; 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in end-to-end employee relations case management, including sensitive and complex challenge.
  • Experience in working in the fast paced environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and passion for understanding UK employment law and its practical application
  • The ability to provide daily / operational guidance and advice to the management team on all employee relations matters
  • Experience in coaching and building capability on best practice and quality case management
  • The ability to identify and manage legal, financial and reputational risk.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver to a tight timescale
  • Resilience and flexibility
  • Coach and upskill our operational management team to build a positive employee relations environment and reduce any potential risks.
  • Assist in developing, designing and implementing new policies, procedures and guidelines and ensuring they are up to date as per UK legislation.
  • Provide data and highlight key trends in employee relations to actively drive proactive solutions to minimise risks and reduce reactive work

This is a challenging role; within the health and social care setting where no two days are the same. However the successful candidate will be joining a solid, effective and welcoming team and will be fully supported to reach their potential.
