Are you an enthusiastic people person who loves to bring the fun? As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll organise and lead meaningful and entertaining activities for the people we support. You’ll play a key role in empowering them to live fulfilled and happy lives.

We support adults living with complex mental health needs, complex dementia and physical disabilities. The home's Abbey Unit is exclusively for people who identify as male.

About the role
Our Activities Coordinators organise creative and fun activities for the people we support.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
organising individual activity plans based on people’s unique goals and interests
fostering community spirit through group activities
supporting people to maintain their current, and take up new, hobbies, interests and educational opportunities
assisting people to become more involved in their local community
celebrating national awareness days, holidays and individual/collective achievements
promoting choice, dignity and independence.

Getting to Kavanagh Place
Directions to Kavanagh Place
Kavanagh Place is a short drive from the M58 and M62, and other major roads including the A565, A59 and A580.
It's 0.6 miles, or a three minute drive, from Goodison Park football ground, and 0.4 miles, or a two minute drive, from Kirkdale train station.
There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park. Street parking is available in the surrounding area.
Public transport to Kavanagh Place
The home is a short walk from several bus stops.
Rumney Place bus stop in both directions (stop IDs: merdamda and merdamdg), which is accessed by bus 159.
Rumney Road bus stop (stop ID: merdamdm), which is accessed by buses 58, 58A and 159.
Goofall Street bus stop (stop ID: merdamdj), which is accessed by buses 58, 58A and 159.
There's also a train station in the local area.
Kirkdale - 0.4 miles away (nine minute walk or five minutes on the 159 bus).
