Barnsley home Dearnevale celebrate long service team members

Nurses, carers and members of the support team at our Barnsley specialist care home Dearnevale have celebrated ten years’ service at a special anniversary event held at the home.
Recently rated Outstanding by the Clinical Governance Commission (CQC) regulators, Exemplar Health Care’s Dearnevale, in Grimethorpe, is a care home that provides specialist care for 42 adults aged 18-65 who live with severe disabilities including brain injuries, Huntington’s disease and complex health conditions.
An impressive 44 local people have worked for more than 10 years at the home including Dearnevale’s home manager Helen McGowan who has been at the home for 11 years.
Helen said: “It is fantastic to celebrate the latest team members who have reached their 10-year milestone at Dearnevale and it is an honour to have so many people who continue to work here and show their ongoing commitment to providing care to our residents.
“People who live at Dearnevale have said it makes a big difference to see regular faces in their homes so I am proud of the whole team who work hard every, single day to provide the best possible care.
