Opening in June: Maypole Grove, Birmingham
Maypole Grove, Exemplar’s newest home for adults with acute physical disabilities and complex mental health needs is opening in May.
Located in the King’s Heath area of Birmingham, this purpose-built care home provides nurse-led specialist care for up to 30 individuals with a range of complexities which may include neuro-disability, brain injury, stroke and enduring mental ill-health.
With three units over three floors, Maypole Grove’s en-suite bedrooms will be furnished and decorated according to personal taste and interests. Two specialist bariatric rooms are available with ground floor garden access plus four larger bedroom suites across the other two floors.
A fully equipped therapy room can accommodate a wide range of therapies including occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy.
The Hub, a multipurpose room for activities and socialising has a built-in kitchen and sitting area. This area will be used to hold specialist clinics run by a range of healthcare professionals. The Hub will also host events with specialist organisations we work closely with, such as the Huntington’s Disease Association.
Further shared areas include dining rooms with bistro areas and lounges, which can be used to watch TV and films or for socialising. There are also four quiet areas, outdoor areas and gardens. At Exemplar we enjoy celebrating a wide range of events throughout the year and our Activities Team organise trips, holidays and in-home activities all year round, every day, come rain or shine.
